Attaching Customer Type Discounts to Departments

Nimbus allows you to configure different discount percentages on departments for each customer type. This means each customer type will get a discount according to the discount configured on the department for its type.

Consider this example: You have defined two customer types: Gold and Silver, and you deal in five departments (product lines). You now configure various percentages on your departments and attach them to customer type Gold. The Gold type customers will then get a discount according to the discount percentage configured for each department.

Similarly, for Silver customer type you can configure different percentages for each department. The Silver customer types will get a discount accordingly.

Creating Department Wise Discount For a New Customer Type

To create a new customer type and attach department wise discount , go to Parties>Customer Type

Click Customer Type tab

Enter Name of the new Customer Type

Click Move Next

Step 2 box Select Discount Type will appear

From the drop-down menu, select Separate discount on departments

System configuration navigation bar

Click Move Next to move to Step 3

Now enter discount percentage against each department

Click Save

All the saved department wise discount percentages will be attached to the defined customer type.

Creating Customer Wise Discount for an Already Defined Customer Type[spacer height=”20px”]

Go to Parties>Customer Type

From  Records tab grid select the Customer Type to which you want to attach department wise discounts.

Double click the record to load it on the customer type tab.

Carry out the above mentions Step 2 and Step 3

Click Update
