Weighing Scale Barcode Configuration
Weighted barcodes are used for items that need weighing at the checkout. in Nimbus retail software, you can scan weighted barcodes while making the receipt. The weight, plus price according to the weight, is automatically added to the receipt.
To be able to use weighted barcodes, the first step is to Configure the weighted barcodes in Nimbus.
For configuration, go to Configuration>System Configuration>Sale tab
Scroll down to Weighing Scale Configuration section
Enter Weighing Scale Pattern:
Weighing scale pattern is the pattern for the weighing scale barcode. The pattern is entered in this format: Total Code Length |Item Code |Quantity Code
For example, consider this code pattern: 10 | 1-6 | 7-10
Here 10 is the total length of the code
Out of this total length 1-6 will be the Item code length including the item code prefix
The remaining 4 digits (7-10) will be for quantity.
Note: You can set the total length, item code length or the quantity code length according to your business requirements.
Weighing Scale Prefix: In this field, enter the prefix you want to use for the weighted barcodes items. This prefix will tell the system that all barcodes starting with this particular prefix are printed with weighing scale.
Weight Divisor: Enter the weight divisor according to your business requirements.
Generally speaking, the weight on the weighing scale is in grams, while the price is defined in KG. The divisor entered in this field will divide the entered quantity to calculate the price in kg.
For example, if the price of I kg of biscuits is 400 and 700 grams are sold, the system will divide 700 by 1000 to calculate the price of 0.7 kg.
