Serial Items Stock

To enter the stock of serial items, the item should be first marked as a serial item on the Item Definition screen.

Go to the GRN screen

After selecting the department and supplier, load the serial item for which you want to enter stock.

Enter quantity of the item in the Quantity field.

For serial items, the grid is expandable by clicking the plus sign.

Click the plus sign and enter or scan serial numbers in the Serial # field.

If entering serial numbers manually, separate them with commas.

If scanning serial numbers, the system will automatically add commas after each serial number.

Remember: You cannot enter more serial numbers than the quantity. For example, if the total quantity of the stock is three, you can enter three serial numbers to identify each item.

Once the serial inventory is added for a serial item, you can sell items by serial numbers on the sales and return screen.
